Poel Sharity Fund is an independent not for profit organisation founded in 2004, in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, under Dutch law. The foundation has been qualified per januari 1st 2008, as officially recognized charity fund (ANBI = Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling)

The Van der Poel Sharity Fund was founded on the 1st of October 2004 by ir. A.P.M. van der Poel and his wife M.C. van der Poel-Boekema.

Arthur van der Poel was born in Hoorn, the Netherlands, in 1948, and is a graduate of Eindhoven University of Technology. Lees hier verder »


Van der Poel Sharity Fund believes in people developing themselves, rather than being developed. The fund aims to “hand them a fishing rod” in the effort, through the offering of education opportunities or supporting means. Lees hier verder »


Current targeted countries are Georgia, India, Indonesia, Ecuador and the Netherlands. The targeted countries will be reviewed on a regular basis. Lees hier verder »

What we fund (and don’t)

  • Investments in equipment or tools
  • Small sized projects of a limited duration and character of (5-10.000 Euro, 1 to 2 years duration)
  • Medium sized projects ( 10-25.000 Euro, 2 to 4 years duration)
  • Starting up of projects of a longer duration, or requiring more substantial funding that are possible candidates for continuation by other identified resources
